At time of its announcement the Bryn Estyn WTP project was the largest public infrastructure project in the history of the state of Tasmania.

Scope of works:

Deacam was engaged by TasWater CDO for electrical construction at the Bryn Estyn Water Treatment Plant in Plenty, Tasmania.

We successfully delivered the electrical installation of the chemical dosing systems and the associated switch room.

Our team ensured all systems were installed to the highest safety and quality standards, whilst adhering to strict timelines and regulatory requirements.

Services provided:

  • Construction/fit out of switch room, inclusive of

  • Over 40 Variable Speed drives

  • Over 50 harmonic filters

  • 3 layers of 2 x 600mm cable ladder throughout

  • 2 x Main Switchboard

  • 2 x HV kiosks

  • 4 x MCC

  • Control panels

  • Data racks

  • UPS Systems

  • Distribution boards

  • All associated cabling and terminations

Field installation of chemical dosing systems:

  • Cable ladder systems

  • Cable reticulation – ladder, underground and steel conduit

  • Field testing and termination. Pumps, weigh feeders, vibrators, motors, valves, instruments, etc.

  • Field installation of control panels, remote IO panels, switchboards, isolators and stands

  • Testing and QA
